Added a new download, this is a simple tool for editing serialized arrays. Currently it looks in a file but you also can edit it so it looks up data from a database. See it here

The shop version 3.0 is postponed a little while (read:months) the end of the shop was coming in sight when i decided to clean up my computer and format it. Later when all was installed i discovered that my databases and code weren't on my backup!! sorry folks.. i have to start all over again ...

Ok, please all european visitors/developers.. Some people in The Netherlands are a disgrace!! They want to put licenses on every piece of software that exists so every time you develop something be sure that you don't get a bunch of lawyers after you cause someone else wrote something that looks like it!!!

Updated the snippet Create a table dynamically!. It is firefox compatible and shows some new stuff in it. For example: how to put a function in it. And how to change the innerHTML. Further more with this example you can use any cell/row property that it has to offer .

Updated a snippet: How to get variables sent by GET method. It now gets all the variables and puts them in an array. Then they are available by asking the key: uriArray['id'] for example. while putting them in an array the script url decodes the vars too.

Added a new DHTML/Javascript snippet: Infinite rotating image/banner script. This script loops 2 images so it will never stop rotating and it looks cool too! :) check it out

Busy with a new project: phpMyAccess. Yes i stole the name from phpMyAdmin but now everybody knows what i am talking about. A webbased access database viewer. It shows the table from a database and the keys/indexes . You can run queries on it and ofcourse view the table data. will be available for download soon..

Added a new category: Indesign Javascript!
Lately i started experimenting with the power of scripting in Indesign. Woah this is absolutely amazing! I downloaded the reference and got busy :) Some thins where clear and some weren't. And there is not yet very much available.. so here's my part on the internet library for indesign ;) enjoy it, as soon i make progress or have cool scripts: you know where to get them :)

Updated a snippet: remove objects by there ID. Added a little piece of code to simplify it. The removeChild method requires a parent and the added code finds the parent automagically.

Hm my last update was a while ago i see :) I've got two new scripts, one JS and one PHP snippet.
The php snippet is very short and simple example of sending a mail with an attachment, yes the horrible multipart/mime headers but this is one is very,very simplified. See it here
The JS snippet is a trim function, you will find hundred snippets of that on the internet but hey: here's my version. Currently it replaces newlines and spaces from begin and end.
I updated my forum too. Not that you can notice it, all background work for the forum project. Build in moderator options, a little quote parsing etc..

A new snippet: Automatic slideshow! in javascript with a nice preloader for the images. The script caches the images first and then they will slide in and out of the screen, with a little pause of 3 seconds. The preloader is like your average status/progressbar but cool anyways.
Made a new little JS snippet: draw a selection rectangle! just like photoshop or windows etc. what you do with it is up to you!! :) See it here

Some old news here: still hard working in the IMAP webmail application and the new shockboard project. A small list of how far the project is:
- registering is possible - the index,subforums and topics are all viewable - login is possible - edit/view profiles - almost everything is translated - some new icon sets

Made a fun little script, nothing too serious :) But it may come in handy. It has 3 buttons to set a certain font size. You know the buttons in your browser the adjust your font size ? this script does the same thing only with JS. Note that this will only work for font tags with a style attribute in it! Maybe there will be an updated version soon but it's the thought that counts ;). See it here

Developing a new forum. The old one was fun though but not flexible enough. It is going to the unfinished projects section. The developments of the new forum is here http://forum.sourceshock.com/. This forum is based on very simple templates. Or very difficult, whatever you like. This maybe not the most user friendly forum, but this way you can make it your own with any HTML editor you like.

Yesterday a friend of mine came along and we did some conversion testing just for fun. A little conversion snippet came out that converts a binary string to hex,ascii and char. This snippets shows you also how to convert a rgb value to hexadecimal (for the hex colors in html). here is the snippet.

This week a was working with flash and discovered some things you might like.. maybe this is boring stuff but looked fun to me :)
The first one is how to add a stylesheet to textboxes in flash! See it here
the second one is about a very simple xml loader with utf-8 encoding.. it solved my problem with utf-8 characters which weren't loaded in flash. It is right here

I am not an Visual Basic expert but i do like to figure things out :) Yesterday is discoverd how i can make my own activex components and how to interact with them in VBScript/Javascript
Too bad this will only work on windows machines, but it is cool anyway!! :) i will make an article/project for it when im done with the new site!

Updated the shockboard in the unfinished projects section.. no help files or whatsoever .. just the files and the sql file :)
New project coming: a friend of mine asked me if i wanted to develop an online game together... of course i answered yes :)
the general idea is a strategic game maybe something like warcraft or something else should be fun though! :D

Ok the alternative way for execCommand is in the snippet section :)
copy and paste the thing and knock yourself out.. it is not tested on ie5 or other browsers. the nasty thing about the functions like selection.htmlText and pasteHTML is that you don't get what you expect and the functions are going to add their own tags for you?! this script shows you how to get your html so you can parse it and do as you like with it

founded a way to skip to execCommand() and get the real html instead of the pasteHTML() command it saves the current selection and converts the html so you will always get the right code
now you can make a wysiwyg editor where you are not dependant on the ms functions
i will post the snippet soon, it is still not completely cross browser but working on that part

Cool update for the forum.. implemented different stylesets you can create on your own: preview. Edit and name the stylesets as you like!!
when i was creating that i needed something that can create round corners.. like GD. But when i did that GD didn't create smooth corners so i fixed that with this script . not much to look at but hey: it works!!

Well what does it do? currently it connects to an msn server and to the password nexus to get your ticket (i guess this was the hardest part cause i have seen alot of questions about it) to login.
after doing all that it gets your msn list and sets your status to online the rest is up to the creatives :) send me your additions if you have some

New php snippet: Communicating with an FTP server. PHP has also functions for this but there were one or more buggy functions on PHP so i wrote it myself. All the info you need on protocols like SMTP or FTP is on http://www.faqs.org just type in google "rfc [protocol name]" and google will definitely come back with faqs.org :)

didn't add too much lately.. been busy with all kind of things. Did some updates on the forum and some other projects.
Added three new snippets in the javascript section that show how some functions work.
Added new section: "Unfinished Projects"!! This is where my projects will wait until completion :D
i work on the projects but there are so many things i want to do/complete that sometimes i can't find the time for it!

Note: there aren't any readme files for installing or whatsoever! whoever downloads this: don't bother me with questions how it works or how it should work!
you can download them so you can finish or add stuff yourself. it would be the coolest if you did write some code for the project or a readme or whatever and send it to me so it can be shared to other users!

Working on an webmail client :) It doesn't use the imap functions from php but it connects through a socket and gives imap commands following the RFC2060 :) will be available as soon as it is finished

Added a new script: Cool tooltips :) You can add the tooltip on everything you want it appears on the x,y coords of your mouse. There is a cool fading in/out transparancy effect in it too!
